CDF Gen Muhoozi’s Son Ruhamya Kainerugaba Graduates as Second Lieutenant at Kabamba - Museveni Chief Guest



MUBENDE - CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s son, Ruhamya Kainerugaba, has today been commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant after completing training at the Uganda Military Academy, Kabamba. 


President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was the chief guest at the commissioning ceremony held today 20th October 2026 at Kabamba in Mubende District.


Ruhamya was among the officer cadets commissioned under Professional Intake 09/2026 and Bachelor of Defence Studies Intake 05/23-26.


This comes just two months after Ruhamya completed the prestigious Officer Commissioning Course at Britain's Royal Military Academy Sandhurst* in August 2026, alongside fellow Ugandan Andrew Bakira Ruyondo, who won the International Sword as best international cadet.


According to UPDF, Ruhamya first joined the UPDF as a Private in June 2025 before being selected for officer training at Sandhurst - the same academy where his father Gen Muhoozi graduated in 2000.




Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba attended today's ceremony at Kabamba together with senior UPDF officers and families of graduating cadets.


The graduation marks a third generation of the Museveni family serving in Uganda's military - from President Museveni who led the NRA bush war, to Gen Muhoozi, and now Second Lieutenant Ruhamya.

  KISORO -The family of the late Africano Nteziyaremye and Kyampire Peace has announced the final burial arrangements for their beloved parents who passed on 17th October 2026. According to the family, Africano Nteziyaremye, born on 26th September 1967, and his wife Kyampire Peace, born on 26th December 1978, will be laid to rest at their home in Zindiro Cell, Kamonyi Ward, Kisoro Municipality.  FINAL BURIAL PROGRAM - TUESDAY, 20th OCTOBER 2026: The family has confirmed that there will be a Requiem Mass starting at 12:00 Noon at Voice of Muhabura playground, Kisoro Municipality.
